Jeevan Jeyaratnam - My Ice 2016

Jeevan Jeyaratnam is a Senior Odds Compiler at Super Soccer. The key product, GPS (Goalscorer Prices and Settlement) utilises Super Soccer’s odds pricing and Abelson Info’s data to provide a complete goalscorer solution.

Clients include bookmakers such as William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral, Betfair, Sky Bet and more.

Ahead of ICE Totally Gaming 2016 we spoke to Jeevan about his plans and expectations for the three day conference.

How I prepare for ICE

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: Organising advertising and media coverage is an important part of our preparation. Raising our profile at such an important time of the year takes time and effort, but is an essential part of our planning. I also plan meetings with current and potential clients; the key role of the show for us.

What I am doing at ICE 2016

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: The main focus at ICE is to meet clients and raise our profile. It is a great opportunity to take feedback on board and sound out potential clients as to how we can enhance their sportsbooks. I’m also hoping to catch the Sports Betting Academy’s seminar, I’ve heard positive comments about these courses and this taster sounds very interesting.

What I’m looking forward to at ICE 2016

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: Raising the profile of our Goalscorer Prices & Settlement (GPS) system, hoping to build on a very good 2015. ICE is a tiring week but I look forward to it.

The size and scope of the show and some of the exhibitors makes it a must-see event. That said it has been some years since I have seen anything totally ground-breaking. More recently the growing number of “one-stop-shop” sportsbook providers has been hard to ignore. More European countries are waking up to the potential tax revenue from licensed betting operators. There are many foreign based firms breaking out in the wider market, nowhere is this more evident that at ICE.

Where you will usually find me at ICE

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: In and out of meetings I tend to congregate near the Racing Post Café, it has firmly established itself as a focal meeting point.

First ICE attended

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: The first show I went to happened to be the last one at Birmingham’s NEC, it was just a sports betting show back then. I’ve been to all the London events, Earls Court is a far better location for me but the facilities and size of the ExCel make it a better venue overall.

Typical post-ICE activity

Jeevan Jeyaratnam: SBC’s London Baby always features on the Tuesday but apart from that, I’m back to the hotel room to catch up with work!
